I purchased this sleeping bag for my husband for Christmas. Upon him opening the bag and inspecting it we found that the zipper did not work properly. We have to send it back and request a new one. Otherwise I think he was please with the bag as a whole, just hope the new one is OK.

I bought this bag for my son. He is a new Boy Scout, so I wanted to buy a bag that would meet his needs for several years. I chose synthetic so that he didn't have to worry about too much moisture. The bag is lightweight and was easy for him to compress into a small sack. He was shocked that such a lofty bag would fit into it. It came with 2 sacks - 1 large mesh and 1 small stuff sack. He stayed in an unheated shelter at below 32 degrees and was comfortable. I gave him a fleece liner (anxious mom), but he didn't use it. We'll see how well it does when he goes to polar bear camp next year. Overall, we are both very pleased with this bag.

Funny this bag is in the Kilimanjaro section because it was perfect for that climb. I took this bag to Kili in August and stayed nice and warm during some cold nights at Barafu and Crater Camps (-13C). This bag would work several degrees colder before you noticed, especially with a silk liner. I am also 5'10" and weigh 175 lbs and found the long bag to be just about right. I had plenty of room to stash my batteries, water bottle and the other stuff I didn't want to freeze. It is super easy to adjust the collar and hood. I like the tiny pocket up in the head area for my earplugs and micro flashlight. The sale price on this bag makes it a pretty solid deal IMO. DG

I have owned this bag for going on 3 years now and it has held up good. It is very warm for the weight and I have never got cold here in Wisconsin winters with it. I have done quite a bit of winter camping and even in up to 20 below zero and I have still been pretty comfortable sleeping in this bag. I got the long size and I am only 5'10" and I am very glad I did, I think the short would have been too short as the long size is even qite snug, especially with some gear and water bottles stuffed down it. The foot area is also quite snug, I think it could be a little wider. All in all for the price this is an excellent, warm bag and the weight is pretty good for a synthetic bag and I would recommend it to anyone.
