  • First Ascent is cut closer to the body for a great, active fit with no bunching or binding. It is built as a complete system. All pieces - outerwear, insulating layers and baselayer - are cut so the body and sleeve lengths of each successive layer are slightly longer than the one underneath.

An excellent base layer. For upper body, wore only this and a thin Polartec jacket on a cold day while hiking in deep snow. It was comfortable and it kept me warm. I would recommend this product to any cold weather hikers. Rikkie

AWESOME! I LOVE IT! best wool shirt I've bought in years. soft, not itchy at all, thin, nearly ultra-lite, this base layer is great! a little pricy but quality wool generally is. the 1/4 zip turtle necked collar is a nice feature though I wish the material could fold down as other collared shirts do so the open zipper edges would not rub on my chin, but all in all this is a great base layer... Definably will be buying a few more whenever I can find some on sale.

Very nice fit.This can be used as a base layer or a regular top.Nice addition to the inside of the collar with a soft fleece feel.Not too sure of the loops at the wrist for the thumb as it looks like plain holes when not in play.I would strongly recommend this product
