This is a perfect hat in terms of weight. I've been a real fan of the lightweight smartwool hats for cold conditions when I am moving around a lot. The only rub has been they are a tad too light, especially when there's a little wind, but my other hats are too heavy except in real cold weather. The think I really like about this hat is it's a nice weave but the kicker is the headband liner - - it makes the hat just about perfect and is perfect for cold weather high exertion situations. Fits under my helmet just fine also. Great item and not something I was able to find anywhere else.
