Whether you are an expert or novice mountaineer, or somewhere in between, this is the quintessential resource. I use the book for everything from how to tie that knot I can never remember, to reading about life saving rescue techniques. The book uses easy to follow descriptions, as well as pictures and diagrams to illustrate everything. This is very helpful for a more visual learner like myself. It's a one time purchase that will pay for itself over and over.
