Wear it climbing, skiing or trekking. Besides waterproof and breathable, it's remarkably soft and quiet. Or as Dave Hahn says, "Finally a hard shell that doesn't feel like you're wearing a potato chip bag." And the rugged 3-layer construction stands up to long days of ferrying loads and leading pitches. Built to the perfect year-round weight. Simply the most versatile, indispensable piece you can own. Machine wash. Precision layering.
"I love this jacket. This spring I'm carrying it on Everest as my hardshell. You won't find a better one."
"This is my shelter from the storm when I am climbing providing protection from wind, snow and rain. A truly multifunctional piece that provides tons of protection and security for only a few ounces of weight."

- First Ascent is cut closer to the body for a great, active fit with no bunching or binding. It is built as a complete system. All pieces - outerwear, insulating layers and baselayer - are cut so the body and sleeve lengths of each successive layer are slightly longer than the one underneath.

Great jacket. It is very quiet, keeps me dry and fits great. The arms long enough to fit over my gloves but not too long to wear without them. Would buy it again.
Great job First Ascent!

Great quality jacket.
My favorite part about this jacket is the low noise while moving in it. It has the comfort of a soft shell but performance of the hard shell that it is. I've put this jacket to the test (rain, wind, snow, cold, hot, even stood in the shower to test water proof) all wonderful. Thank You First Ascent Team!
