"This glove is the perfect combination of work and play. I wore them for 15 days on Aconcagua, all the way to the summit. They have also replaced my favorite ski gloves. It's the best mountain glove out there...hands down." -Peter Whittaker

I've had these gloves for two seasons now and found them to be a decent all-round glove. I used them for mountaineering, snowshoeing, skiing and snow camping, as well as some cold-weather ice applications. Here's the deal, they are great in moderately cold, dry environments where you need the dexterity and durability, ie swinging ice tools, managing ropes, poles, etc... BUT they don't do well in wet environments, so don't expect your hands to stay warm when they get soaked through, and if it's wet and damp they will get soaked through. If they get soaked through during a long day in the cold wet stuff, expect them to be wet and clammy in the morning... just saying! I love their durability and dexterity, but just know that these will not perform as well when it's very cold and damp. Nice Glove though...

Great gloves. Very comfortable. I wore them out for about two hours in 15 degree weather (directing traffic) and my fingertips got a bit cold toward the end, but I think that is to be expected. Normally I use a pair of liners with mittens on top and these did just as well. The leather is very soft which helps with the dexterity.

I've had these gloves for about two months. I've used them for hiking, ice climbing, motorcycling, and chores around the house. When it's colder, I'll use liner gloves beneath these. The gloves are well made and warm and supple enough to permit work with ropes and ice tools. Breaking in was easy. They do not have gauntlets, which I prefer. On the bike at high speeds, these gloves are not as warm as heavier motorcycle gloves. (Of course, they were not designed for that use.) They are excellent for moderately cold temperatures where you need to do a lot of work with your hands and fingers.

This is a great glove, warm on cold days and the leather is soft and molds to your hand. This is a great fitting glove for every day use. Another feature is the velcro cuff that fits tight around the wrist and it works well with any jacket. B Rebman

Not that Im a glove tester or have considerable glove wearing experience, but I love these. I wore them snowshoeing in the Tatoosh yesterday and they were great. Yes they soaked through, but I was using my hands for balance in the steep wet snow with no poles or axe for a few hours, but they kept my hands toasty the whole time. Great fit, great feel, great heat wet or dry.

These gloves are super warm, fit well, are comfortable, and sturdy. One small feature would make them even better: adding a loop so the gloves can be quickly and easily clipped to a carabiner while walking.

While the gloves are very warm and allow great dexterity, they get wet very easily--especially in the wet snow of California's Sierras. If it's going to snow when I'm on a backcountry ski trip, I dont even bring these gloves anymore. I'm a little disappointed in their performance.

Great gloves. I've worn them in temps down to the low teens with my hands and fingers not being cold at all. For the price I don't think you can do better and I expect to get years of use out of them. Highly recommend.

This glove lives up to the hype. Super warm and I love the merino wool lining. The palms look like new even after a few flesh melting rappels. Added bonus is the low profile cuff - it fits under or over every layer I've tried it with without bunching up or constricting. Keep up the good work!

Purchased as a gift for mountaineer/teleskiing bf. He LOVES them and has given them much wear this winter doing both activities. They fit well, keep his fingers warm, and look great. I will buy another pair if they ever wear out.

I have a number of cold weather gloves. These are definitely my glove of choice when needing to do anything in cold weather, particularly when dexterity is required. Great all around glove and there's no doubt in my mind that these gloves will pass the test of time.

These things are supple. From the first time i put the gloves on, they felt like they molded to my hands. I'm using them for skiing so threw some snoseal for some additional protection. The leather maintains its dexterity too. The boys at whittaker knew what they were doing when they brought these in. Thanks!
