I live in MN and bought this jacket for casual wear since I travel frequently and it works well when transitioning climates via airplane from sub digit temps to a cool breeze in the 60s. I am planning a summit attempt on Rainer this summer and will use this as an insulating layer or under my Exposure II MH jacket if the weather picks up. Overall the jacket has great windproof and water resistance and with it stretchy fabrics it fits comfortably over heavy layers. Awesome jacket!
