The First Ascent Men's MicroTherm Down Hooded Jacket is amazingly light and warm. I wanted to try it during our recent deep freezes in which I had to shovel all the walks and I stayed nice and warm. I paired with the First ascent cloud 1/4 zip fleece and I stayed toasty while my neighbors were using big cheap puffy coats and complaining that they were cold. The great thing about this jacket is that it fits well under my igniter jacket without feeling restrictive. For me the cloud 1/4 zip fleece, the microtherm down hooded jacket, and igniter jacket is the best combo for all my cold weather/winter activities.
P.S. I get a lot of complements about how well it looks when I wear it around town.
