Originally designed as a personal escape device for firefighters in bailout situations, this ultralight compact descender is also being widely used by ski patrollers for chairlift evacuation. More recently it has been adopted by canyoneers who are looking to carry lighter ropes, and want a descender optimized for smaller diameter rope use. Works well on single and double ropes up to 7.5 mm, and can be used on single ropes up to 12.5 mm. CNC machined from 3/8" thick aircraft aluminum. Compact size and light weight makes it convenient to pack around.
