When sizing sleeping bags, there are a few rules of thumb:
- Typically, if you are 5'6" - 6'1", you should select a Regular sleeping bag.
- If you are above 6'1", select the Long.

I have owned this bag for going on 3 years now and it has held up good. It is very warm for the weight and I have never got cold here in Wisconsin winters with it. I have done quite a bit of winter camping and even in up to 20 below zero and I have still been pretty comfortable sleeping in this bag. I got the long size and I am only 5'10" and I am very glad I did, I think the short would have been too short as the long size is even qite snug, especially with some gear and water bottles stuffed down it. The foot area is also quite snug, I think it could be a little wider. All in all for the price this is an excellent, warm bag and the weight is pretty good for a synthetic bag and I would recommend it to anyone.
