When all you need is close-range lighting, switch modes and use the three SuperBright LEDs which emit usable light for over 100 hours. A single switch on top lets you choose from four lighting levels for both modesmin, mid, max and strobeto tailor the light output to your needs. Designed with a winter user in mind, the Spot's switch is easily operable with gloves.

I have used this headlamp for a year and proved to be very good, especially when it is cold outside. Or when caving, were the Spot proved to be very water proof. I never had any problems with the headlamp and it is true to its word, very easy to use with gloves on. Only running on 2 triple A batteries and its price, a very good deal. The only con is that it seems the batteries do not hold a very long and powerful life, compared to the expectations of an LED light. Overall, a very good headlamp.
