This is a great beacon. I've carried this model for a few years now and have actually had to use it once. The harness that it comes with allows for quick access but the beacon remains attached to you so you have to search for a pocket to put it in when you're ready to dig. Locating is very quick and easy with the distance and directional lights - just be sure to read the manual so you understand how the signal is sent by the unit (matters with the distance indicator). The battery life is displayed as a percentage when the unit is turned on so there is no worry about remaining life. I'd highly recommend this beacon.
