Love this jacket! The sleeves are designed to be a little longer than most jackets to give the wearer the extra length needed for the thumb holes at the cuff area. The extra length in sleeves allows one to pull these down for a quick fit glove. I have found that being 6' 170 lb. with average to long arms; the (LARGE) is a perfect fit. My layers for this jacket begin with a light weight base layer & then a mid weight fleece. I find this to be an awesome combo for high energy sports such as cold winter trail blazes/alpine. If the weather gets real nasty, throw a tech shell over it all and then the dragon will remain "Fire Breathing." :) Nice design! Great Product!

I just bought this again. I previously bought a large and it fit OK, except the sleeves were way too long. I've talked to other owners with similar opinions. I am 5'9 1/2" and 180#. The meduim I have now is a little snug for me in the torso with a 1/2 zip tee underneath, but the sleeves don't drive me nuts anymore. For my hikes around town it is warm enough for me down to about 40F by itself; but I get chilled somewhat quickly. With a thicker layer underneath I could wear it below 32F

I have used this jacket for both mountaineering and ice climbing and I love it. While it is not as warm as other soft shell jacket. It is extremely light and comfortable. Having a hood on the jacket is also a plus as I have had jackets that don't have hoods. The only downside I saw to this jacket was that I had to wear an extra layer on extremely cold days. But It is worth it.
