This glove was not my first choice for a heavy weight climbing glove but as noted above finding a glove with removable liners that is not too tight but warm is tough at a fair price. I normally wear a medium glove and without the liner the medium fits great but you give up warmth. So I was able to get a large glove with a medium liner and have a good balance of snug fit, dexterity and warmth. The gloves are not cheap but I can tell you my ultimate test was wearing them while ice fishing in 5 degree temps for a few hours and the gloves held up great and gave me the dexterity needed. Even when wearing the liners alone in mild temps 30's, with the Gor-Tex Windstop and Pittards palms they hold up well.

I have not had a chance to use these gloves outdoors yet, but have already noticed a couple of problems with them. The first thing that I noticed about them was that a Large fits tightly on me. Normally I wear larges in glove, but Marmot must size their gloves a little smaller. The second problem is that the liner gloves that Marmot provides that fit inside have a very tight wrist opening. It is not possible to simply slide my hand into the gloves. The third issue I have with them is how ridged of a palm they have. It is very hard to flex my hands like I am holding a ski pole, or ice tools. Hopefully they break in and the insulation packs out a little bit. I made the gloves fit a little better by swapping in a different set of liners.
