The most popular mitt on the mountain when the temperatures plummet, the Mercury Mitt is Black Diamonds warmest mitten for sub-zero conditions. Its removable PrimaLoft liner features a trigger finger for increased dexterity and a waterproof BDry barrier and 40d nylon shell, with four-way stretch woven fabric on the back-of-hands, protects against saturating weather. The Mercury features a leather palm that provides reinforced durability where needed.

Fantastic mitts. I have been using them in the alaskan arctic for a month now. Its been as cold as -42 F and I have never had cold fingers. The leather palms stay supple in the cold and they seem to have high quality construction. Fantastic for the price. An extreme cold weather glove at $80 bucks with ten oz of primaloft is fantastic

Very rugged and the stitching was dual and straight with no goofy loose threads.I use a gortex thinsulate glove liner which was over kill with these mittens, the best mitten i have ever owned and will buy agin when needed.

I have had these mitts for a few months now and absolutely love them. I got them in size large and was happy to find that they fit just a touch loose allowing for the use of a thin liner glove other than the one built in. The trigger finger adds the feel of having a better grip on gear and especially drawcords on jackets and hoods. These mitts are great for ascents on Rainier as well as a long day snowshoeing through deep snow. My hands have never been cold, if anything they are too warm for most applications. I would highly recommend these mitts as the best bang for the buck when it come to warmth and function for the money. Whittaker Mountaineering strikes again with their uncanny ability to sell products that perform beyond expectation without being overpriced!!
