Great pack for hauling lots of gear. I have used it for week-long treks with between 55 and 65 pounds. It weighs a little more than some, but that is because of the beefy suspension system. The waist belt conforms with use (or it can be heat fitted by a dealer) so that much of the weight is carried by the hips rather than just the shoulders. It has more than enough room with the only drawback is that it can hold so much that your trek can become a real workout if you are not careful. 60-65 pounds is about my max extended carry weight at 5'9" and 175#. I wouldn't use it for smaller,lighter loads, but when you need to carry a lot, it's the one bag that I can recommend without hesitation. I've never needed to have anything fixed yet, but nice to know the company stands behind their products 100%.

the bag is made in such a way that it can withstand rough usage. The shoulder strip is very comfortable and like samuel had said, it is able to carry so much that you unknowingly pack so much stuff that you will suffer during your trip. the easy access zipper and side pocket is good for me to store my glove and some accessories and I can reach it easily whenever i want.

I have to laugh at the review suggesting a haul bag to replace a larger expedition pack. Laughable! I have had this pack for a year, the only thing that sucks about it is that when I am using it I am carrying heavy loads and that is not fun no matter what your thinking ! Good solid construction.
