LOVE this jacket. I took it on Aconcagua and stayed toasty the entire trip. I have a tendency to get cold so this parka worked great for me.

I found this jacket to be ridiculously warm. It is THE jacket to have for cold, high-altitude climbs in the Andes (and Himalaya, I assume, but haven't been there to try). The jacket is indeed waterproof. I am 5'10 and 136 lbs - a small fit me perfectly with all other clothing layers on underneath. Anyone who is shorter may have problems with the sleeves being way too long. One note: be sure to get a compression sack because this jacket is huge!

This jacket is extremely warm and preforms well under less than ideal weather or during breaks on the summit trail. It runs a little large but due to that, it makes it easy to get it on and off quickly over your layers. I would recommend this jacket for high alpine accents, snow camping, ice fishing or simply staying warm at basecamp.
