I recently purchased the Single Spring Leash and was very pleased with it on my recent Mount Rainier climb. I had hesitated in purchasing a spring leash for a few years thinking it would be heavy, bulky, and sag and be in the way. Instead, it is light, compact, and increased efficiency during rope travel when shifting the ice ax from hand to hand. I highly recommend this leash. I deviated from the directions that come with the leash by tying the leash onto the ice ax and clipping the biner into my harness.
