Because frozen toes ruin everything
Socks
These aren’t your bargain-bin cotton gym socks. We stock only the best technical socks for mountaineering, hiking, and long days on your feet — think merino blends, strategic padding, and no-slip fits that hold up through summit attempts and soggy slogs alike. Your boots are only as good as what’s inside them, and these socks pull their weight.

Your Buying Guide For
Socks
Socks play a bigger role in foot health than most climbers realize. The right material and thickness can prevent blisters, regulate temperature, and extend the life of your boots.
Still have questions? Feel free to reach out!
What type of sock is best for mountaineering?
Merino wool is the gold standard. It manages moisture, resists odor, and insulates even when damp. Synthetic blends dry faster and can add durability, but pure cotton should always be avoided in cold or wet conditions.
Should I wear liner socks?
Liner socks can reduce friction and help manage moisture during long climbs. Many climbers use them with heavier outer socks for multi-day expeditions or when breaking in new boots.
How many pairs should I bring on a climb?
For multi-day climbs, bring at least two or three pairs — one for climbing, one for camp, and a dry backup. Rotating pairs helps keep feet healthy and extends the life of your socks.
