At Whittaker Mountaineering we take great pride in the quality of clothing and equipment we rent. We are the best mountaineering rental facility in the country.
All our rental clothing and equipment is hand picked by Rainier guides who spend their lives working and playing in the high mountains. Check out what the guides are wearing and you will see that it is the same gear we rent. Each year we purchase brand new equipment and clothing for the upcoming climbing season. We carry only top of the line brands such as Mountain Hardwear, Petzl, Grivel, Jansport, Outdoor Research, and Scarpa. Our five step cleaning process ensures every rental item is cleaned and ready for your reservation. We are not a guiding service that happens to have some old rental items they pull out of a closet year after year to make a few extra bucks.
