Basecamp staff members are responsible for the care of our customers and ensure they have a positive and seamless experience when renting or shopping with us.

Job Description
1. Assists customers in proper gear and equipment selection
2. Assists customers with proper fit of equipment
3. Answers phones, checking voice messages, and making outgoing calls
4. Uses company Point of Sale system for daily transactions
5. Maintains organization of the store (restocking, merchandising, etc.)
6. Prepares reserved rental equipment for pickup
7. Cleans, maintains and repairs rental equipment
8. Prepares of meal packages
9. Assists with other daily operations and various shop needs as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience
1. Interest in mountaineering or climbing
2. Some college or equivalent experience preferred
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Primarily Outlook, Excel and Word
4. Detail oriented with analytical abilities
5. Ability to problem solve and think critically
6. Capable of being a self-starter
7. Strong communication/listening skills
8. Pleasant and calm demeanor in fast paced work environment
9. Highly developed sense of integrity and passion for excellence
10. 1-2 years of customer service experience (preferably in a retail environment) considered a plus
11. Must be able to lift approx. 50lbs

Dates of employment: May-August or June-September (dates are flexible)
Full Time/Seasonal: 36-40 Hours/week; Part Time Seasonal: 16-34 Hours/week.
