Bight Gear Men's Alpha ® Ascender Hoody

Insulation that adapts at every elevation. Breathes on the move and keeps the chill out in between. The Alpha Ascender Hoody combines Polartec® Alpha® and Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro™ for the ultimate in breathable insulation that regulates core body temperature and wicks moisture as you push above the treeline. Worn as a primary insulator on milder days or as a mid-layer on those extra chilly alpine starts, the Alpha Ascender Hoody works as hard as you do so you can avoid the layer shuffle and get after it.

great outer layer, warm, lightweight

I used this on Rainier in April in conjunction with the power 1/4 zip and the D-luxe fleece. The combination of the 3 is plenty warm enough for any condition save pouring rain or high winds. Freedom of movement is simply excellent; length, sleeves totally thought out. Nothing gets in the way, yet all pockets accessible with pack and harness on. Hanging on the rack - it looks pretty wimpy - you HAVE to try this on...... My impression on sizing is that it's true to size, but a very slim fit

Use Situation: Climbing, hiking, skiing

This is a really nice jacket!

Have worn the Mtn logic ascender multiple times in various cold conditions and it has already been a very versatile insulation layer. Very happy with the quality and the performance. Can't wait to use this jacket on Baker and Rainier.

Use Situation: My last hike was 2hrs at -8F. During that trip my water bottle started to freeze, but I stayed warm. Had on a midweight Patagonia capilene baselayer, midlayer Patagonia R1 pullover and the Mtn logic Ascender as my insulation layer.
