lightweight, warm, comfortable baselayer

Caught a warm day in October and wore as my primary layer while hiking Mt Adams. I like the lightweight material; the hood and extra long sleeves are both great features. I plan on this being my base layer for my 2019 climbs.

Use Situation: Single day summit of Mt Adams, WA

All the Right Features

Bought this hoody for my husband and I own the women's version as well. It was hard to find this perfect combo of features -- thin and wicking (I run hot hiking), helmet compatible hood, thumbholes -- even in the black diamond alpenglow (no thumbholes) and Patagonia sunshade (too heavy). But this Bight shirt really is pretty perfect! Can't speak to durability yet but seems well made.

Well made and comfortable

RMI guides wore these during a trip i participated in, and they spoke highly of them. They were right, the hoody is great for what i do.

Use Situation: Sailing, kayaking, biking, and hiking

Great climbing shirt

This is the perfect layer for hikes above tree line. Hiked today above Pebble creek with the Solstice and light base layer. Even with 20 kt winds, I stayed plenty warm and sheltered from the sun.

Use Situation: Hiking and climbing

Awesome piece of gear

I bought this layer for a recent Mt Rainier summit attempt and it was just the right piece. I had brought along a Patagonia Capilene Midweight and started to second guess the need for something that heavy and I’m sure glad I did. Bluebird day on the mountain for Day school and it was much appreciated, kept me warm when clouds did appear after a day full of sun and warmth where it wicked away moisture like a champ! Pretty much didn’t take it off for the next 2 days as went up to Muir and on to the summit. Muir snowfield was hit and humid and again it kept me cooler than I would have been with my original layering system. A+ product!

Use Situation: Used as a stand-alone layer in the sun and as a lightweight base layer on Mt Rainier summit climb
