Light, packs down nicely, and blocks the wind

This jacket is quite light. I carry it on day hikes frequently. I put it in a stuff sack and it packs to a small volume. On a hike to an almost 13K' exposed peak, the wind was howling. I put it on and was instantly warm as it blocked the wind. Can't wait to use it on Iztacihuatl and Pico de Orizaba this December. I wear size medium down jackets and was told to order a large, as they were athletic cut. I find it a bit loose alone as a shell, but it fits great even over my medium-weight hooded down jacket. Good to have it a bit big for winter mountaineering use.

Fit: Slightly Large

Use Situation: So far on local mountaineering outings as a shell over my normal shirt. I've tried it over my lightweight puffy and medium-weight down jacket and it works great. I can wear it pretty comfortably over my Nilas too, so if I really needed to keep the Nilas dry, I have that option.
