Love this hoody. I will be wearing this on Rainier in june. Fits great and very comfortable.
Use Situation: Hiking
I am absolutely thrilled with this shirt! I'm an Arizona hiker/backpacker who hates wearing sun screen. This shirt is so light and thin. It's perfect for hiking in the desert. I'm bummed that everyone is out of size Large but I'll buy several more when Patagonia releases the 2016 line.
Use Situation: Hiking and backpacking
This is a very good hooded-polyprop long-sleeve shirt. It's only shortcoming is that it didn't come with a drawstring around the hood. That took about 5 minutes to fix. Otherwise, I'm completely pleased with it.
Use Situation: I use this product as an over-layer, in combination with another "wicking" undershirt. It works very well, especially with a wind shell as my top layer.
I was intrigued after seeing all the guides wearing this on the Muir snowfield, so I bought one and have been thoroughly impressed. I'm not great at remembering to use sunscreen so this has been key on very sunny days on Mt Baldy and Mt Whitney here in California. I also took it to Zion where I didn't overheat (frequent problem of mine) on 100+ degree days with no shade. Taking it to Rainier in a couple weeks for the snowfield and I expect it to perform just as well... now I know why all the guides were rocking it.
