Seth Waterfall

Bio Climbing Accomplishments

Seth Waterfall is one of the team's most well-rounded climbers, spreading his alpine pursuits between high altitude ascents, sport rock, waterfall ice and ski mountaineering. Seth was almost exclusively a skier and cyclist until the summer of 1995 when he was bit by the mountain bug scrambling up Mt. Conness in the Sierra Nevada. He found previous success racing on the U.S. National Cycling team. In 1992, Seth's five-person pursuit team was the national champion and placed sixth in the World Championships. Despite his new obsession with mountaineering, Seth managed to graduate from U.C. Santa Barbara with a degree in mathematics. He did the math, ditched a “regular” office job and has been a guide for Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. since. Seth has 100+ Mt. Rainier summits, 2 Mt. Everest summits, guided trips to Ecuador, Alaska, Kilimanjaro and the Mexican volcanoes, and skied Denali from the summit.
