Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES & D.C., 18+.
VOID IN NEW YORK, FLORIDA, RHODE ISLAND, AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

Sponsor’s server/application is the official timekeeper for this Sweepstakes.

1. Sponsor

Whittaker Mountaineering (“Sponsor”), PO Box 1520, Eatonville, WA 98328, USA.

2. Eligibility

Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees, guides, contractors, former employees of Sponsor, RMI Expeditions, Rainier BaseCamp, and BaseCamp Bar & Grill, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotion agencies, and the immediate family/household members (spouse, parents, siblings, children, and persons living in the same household) of each are not eligible. Void in NY, FL, RI, and where prohibited.

3. Promotion Period

Begins November 11, 2025 at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) and ends December 1, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT (the “Promotion Period”). Entries submitted before/after the Promotion Period will not be eligible.

4. How to Enter; Entry Limits; Fraud Prevention

There are two methods of entry. All entries (from both methods) will be combined for a single random drawing.

A. Purchase Entries (Shopify orders during the Promotion Period)

Standard window: 1 entry per $1 spent.
BFCM multiplier window: 2 entries per $1 spent from 12:00:00 a.m. PT Nov 28, 2025 through 11:59:59 p.m. PT Dec 1, 2025.
Entries are awarded on the net merchandise subtotal after discounts, excluding taxes, shipping, tips, and gift cards.
Gift card purchases do not earn entries. If an order is partially paid with a gift card, entries are calculated only on the non–gift card portion.
Rounding: fractional dollars are rounded down to the nearest whole dollar.
Returns/Refunds/Chargebacks: if any portion of a qualifying order is refunded, returned, cancelled, or charged back, related entries are void (Sponsor may deduct or void entries accordingly).
The email address on the order must match the entrant’s entry email for verification.
Purchase entries are tracked via Sponsor’s Shopify integration with ViralSweep; Sponsor’s records control.

B. Free/Social Entries (no purchase required; via ViralSweep form)

Complete tasks as shown in the ViralSweep widget during the Promotion Period:

Email signup (required for free entry): 50 entries, one-time per person/email.
Referral: 20 entries per verified signup via your unique link (unique person/email; not the same household/device; must complete required fields).
Instagram visit: 25 entries, once per person.
Share giveaway post to Instagram Story: 50 entries, credited upon task completion in ViralSweep.
TikTok visit: 25 entries, once per person.
Facebook visit: 20 entries, once per person.
Mail-In Entries (No Purchase Required/Alternative Method of Entry)

To enter without making a purchase or completing any social tasks, hand-print your full legal name, complete street address (no P.O. Boxes), phone number, a valid email address, and date of birth on a standard 3” x 5” index card or piece of paper. Mail the completed entry in a stamped, business-size envelope to: Whittaker Mountaineering "Mount Rainier Climb for Two" Sweepstakes Entry, PO Box 1520, Eatonville, WA 98328, USA.

Limit: One (1) entry per envelope, and one (1) envelope per person per day. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by December 1, 2025, and received by December 5, 2025, to be eligible. Each eligible Mail-In Entry will receive 50 entries into the drawing.

Important: Free entries do not require a purchase. Opting out of marketing communications later does not void previously earned entries.

C. Administration Notes (applies to all entries)

To support legal compliance and auditing, Sponsor may administer purchase and free/social methods in separate ViralSweep campaigns; entries will be merged for the single drawing.
Prohibited conduct: automated, scripted, robotic, macro, or bulk submissions; multiple accounts/emails/identities per person; use of VPNs/proxies to evade limits; or other attempts to circumvent the Rules. Sponsor may void suspect entries, limit entries per person/household/device/IP, and disqualify any entrant tampering with the process.
In the event of an identity dispute, entries are deemed made by the authorized email/account holder associated with the entry/order, subject to verification.

5. Prize; Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”)

One (1) Grand Prize (Total ARV $7,228):

RMI 4-Day Summit Climb for Two (Summer 2026) — ARV $4,950.
Whittaker Mountaineering Rentals & Food Package for Two — ARV $1,878 (includes required rental gear and a 4-Day Meal Package with Standard, Vegan, or Gluten-Free options).
Two (2) Whittaker Mountaineering Gift Cards @ $200 each — ARV $400 (for incidental items).

Travel/transportation not included. Prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and may not be substituted except by Sponsor at its sole discretion with a prize of equal/greater value. Winner and guest must each be 18+, meet RMI’s fitness, logistical, and safety requirements, and sign all required waivers, liability releases, and health forms prior to participation. Dates: RMI will work with winner to identify available 2026 4-Day Climb dates; winner must select from offered dates within Sponsor/RMI’s scheduling window (winner may not choose arbitrary dates outside RMI’s operating schedule). If RMI postpones/cancels due to weather, safety, park closures, or similar operational reasons, Sponsor/RMI may reschedule; no cash substitute.

6. Odds

Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received from all methods.

7. Winner Selection & Notification

Sponsor will conduct a random drawing on or about December 15, 2025 from all eligible, merged entries. Potential winner will be notified via email using the address associated with their entry. Sponsor will make up to two (2) contact attempts. Potential winner must respond and complete required documents within five (5) business days of first notification, or the prize may be forfeited and an alternate may be selected. Sponsor is not responsible for email filtering (spam/junk), incorrect or non-functioning contact information, or failure to receive/return communications.

8. Verification; Taxes; Documents

Potential winner (and guest) must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release (where lawful), and provide a W-9 (winner) before prize is awarded. Because ARV exceeds $600, Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC to the winner for the calendar year in which the prize is fulfilled; winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and any expenses not expressly included.

9. Publicity

By entering, entrants grant to Sponsor the right (where lawful) to use their name, likeness, city/state, statements, and prize information for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes in any media, without further compensation or notice.

10. Release; Limitation of Liability; Right to Modify/Cancel

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, RMI Expeditions, Rainier BaseCamp, BaseCamp Bar & Grill, their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and each of their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims or causes of action arising out of participation or receipt/use/misuse of any prize, including (without limitation) personal injury, death, or property damage. Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) technical errors/failures; (b) unauthorized human intervention; (c) garbled or corrupted data; (d) lost/late/misdirected communications; or (e) any errors in administration or prize announcement. If the Sweepstakes cannot be administered as planned due to fraud, technical failures, or any cause beyond Sponsor’s control (including weather, safety, park closures, strikes, epidemics, government orders, or similar force majeure events), Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, suspend, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes and, if feasible, select the winner from among eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the date of the action taken.

11. Platform Disclaimers

This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or any other platform. Entrants release such platforms from any responsibility related to the promotion.

12. Disputes; Governing Law; Venue; No Class Actions

Except where prohibited, entrants agree that: (i) all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (ii) exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington State (Pierce County or King County). All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor, shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without giving effect to any conflict of law principles. No class or representative actions are permitted.

13. Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://whittakermountaineering.com/policies/privacy-policy and will be used for Sweepstakes administration and, if separately consented, for marketing communications. Entrants may opt out of marketing at any time; opting out will not affect the validity of previously earned entries.

14. Winner List; Rules

The winner’s name will be posted or made available within 30 days after verification. For the winner’s name or a copy of these Official Rules, visit the rules page on Sponsor’s website or email [email protected] with the subject line “Winner List – Mount Rainier Climb for Two Sweepstakes.”

15. Abbreviated Rules
