Climb Baker - Backcountry Ski with RMI

RMI's Baker Backcountry Ski & Splitboard Course is a two-day Level 1 program built for advanced resort skiers and riders making the move into the backcountry. Day 1 covers avalanche-rescue fundamentals plus touring basics; Day 2 puts it into practice with real-world tour planning, line selection, partner communication, and group travel. The course is designed to pair with formal AIARE Level 1 avalanche training, not replace it.

Rent Instead of Buy

You can rent the avalanche kit (transceiver, shovel, probe) and skins for the course, then decide later whether to buy. Bring your own touring or splitboard setup — boots and bindings are personal-fit items. Our Ashford shop ships rentals to your home so they're ready when you head north to Glacier.
