Shield Glacier Glasses

On a glacier, your eyes are as exposed as any other part of your body, and the Shield takes that seriously. The full wraparound coverage blocks harsh glacially reflected light from every angle, and the removable side shields add an extra layer of protection when sun or wind is coming in from the sides. The Reactiv lenses that some guides run automatically adjust from clear to full glacier darkness without swapping lenses, which means putting them on at night and wearing them straight through into a bright summit day without stopping. Five-plus seasons of hard use including being sat on in tents and dropped on multi-pitch climbs, and they keep working. One honest tradeoff: adding the side shields reduces ventilation and increases fogging. The fix is simple, slide them to the tip of your nose to maintain protection while letting air circulate.
