Sirocco Helmet

The best helmet is the one you actually wear. The Sirocco makes that an easy choice. It is light enough to forget it is on your head, comfortable enough to wear all day, and versatile enough to show up on glacier routes, ice climbs, alpine objectives, and sport climbing laps without ever feeling like overkill. The higher brim on the second version is a genuine improvement, opening up your field of vision when you are moving fast and looking ahead, especially with a headlamp. Guides have grabbed it two days before going for Rainier FKT attempts for exactly that reason. A few honest notes: durability is solid but not bomber, so treat it accordingly. The magnetic clip is sensitive to dirt, so keep it clean. And be careful how you pack it because it can break under pressure in a stuffed bag. One observation worth taking seriously: a helmet you love wearing means you actually wear it, including on single pitch sport climbing where helmets get skipped more than they should.
