The Ultra Raptor 3 Mid GTX is the "boot" we recommend to people who hate boots. It solves the classic dilemma of "I want to move fast, but I don't want wet feet or rolled ankles." By taking the chassis of their most capable mountain runner and adding a waterproof cuff, La Sportiva created a hybrid that handles 90% of alpine objectives. It’s light enough to jog the flat sections but sturdy enough to kick steps in hard snow. If your trips involve equal parts trail miles and off-trail scrambling, this is the single piece of footwear that can handle both.
