I’ve snapped my fair share of carbon trekking poles through a combination of a heavy pack and lots of days in the mountains. Although I appreciate shaving grams, if your gear isn’t durable you’re going to end up carrying it as dead weight sooner or later. The expedition 3 poles strike a nice balance between weight and durability due to their aluminum construction. They are also very adjustable across many kinds of terrain.
