The Desert Mullet Sun Hat is engineered for those days when the sun is the primary hazard on the route. Combining the breathable, lightweight performance of a runner's cap with the comprehensive coverage of a desert legionnaire style, it offers a versatile shield against relentless UV rays. The critical feature is the detachable neck cape—or "mullet"—which provides essential shade for the neck and ears during long glacier slogs or exposed desert approaches, but can be easily removed when the sun dips below the ridgeline.
